Jonah 1 - I am an unlikely person! And most likely you will also be an unlikely person! Our life is so, however, God writes his story with real lives, real people like you and me!

Our life with God is something transcendent, as God writes our story, he writes from what we are, the way we are! God reigns over the story! He is the Lord of history - He rules my story and its history - and there's nothing we can do or not do, that makes Him love us less! Also, there's nothing else to do that God loves us more!

Sometimes we feel unlikely for something we have done, or believe. A sin, perhaps. "God will not forgive me." Sometimes we doubt our future, and when we can not "look there is a future for us" and cling to the past, the past robs a lot ... The word of the Lord begins by showing that given a voice command to Jonah, a work to be done, an order: "I want you to go." But Jonah does the opposite ...

But Jonas has a bad feeling about the city of Nineveh ... Why?

... When Amitai, father of Jonah, the prophet was still, Assyria tried to fifteen times against Nineveh and Assyria, when he took the city, people were scared, and every time, killed the Assyrian king of the city, killed the priest of that place, killed the Prophet ... and Amitai, father of Jonah, the prophet was that place and every time that Assyria undermined, the father of Jonah was exposed - his head was placed at a premium.

And within this framework, Jonas grows and becomes a prophet over time. And now?? His head is that a premium was placed ...

The capital of Assyria was Nineveh. The city of Nineveh was a people who did not respect people. In fact, did not respect anyone's life! They had no fear, no one thought it was a proud, wicked, unjust. It was the true symbol of Satanism, so the feeling of Jonah.

But in spite of Jonah feel against Nineveh, he was a "man of God": he testified on behalf of God with your life.

So then, poses the question: As a person of God can carry around so many wounds in the soul? Emotions of so many diseases, even devoting themselves to the Lord?

And yet, Jonah decides to disobey God, he packs his bags and heads for Tarshish - verse 3 - far away from God.

Jonah was a tough one man ... a person who, for example, had a wound and did not want to be cared for by anyone!

"Ah! Lord ... is to go to Nineveh? No! I'm going to Tarshish. I'm going to another place, another direction, because I hate these people and I will not be an instrument of the Lord to bless these people! "

And it has a lot to do with us! Many of us are like that, we hurt, we have the problem and do not want God to "touch" on the wound, do not want to "talk about it" ...

We rationalize our life story and justify: "Why do not you know what I suffered! Did not you feel what I felt! Do not treat you treated me! You do not know what I went through! "

Today, we see that people like Jonah, who does not rationalize your problem and you do not want to care, not want to deal ...

Jonah, a prophet of God, do not go to Nineveh, go to Tarshish, carrying within itself many diseases of the soul, feelings that God wants to deal with.

But God does not leave unscathed Jonas of his decision, but did not leave him alone!

Look what happens to Jonah, the storm at sea and he slept in the basement! God allowed all this experience! Sleep trail! "Do something! At least, pray to your God, "said the crew of the ship.

Jonas says: "I'm missing the presence of my God. Throw me overboard and the storm will cease!" And the captain says, "that's not how we solve things"! But even so, throw Jonah overboard and all the crew of the ship turned to the God of Jonah ... and God has provided a great fish that takes you to where ???...????... Nineveh! And there, in the belly of the fish, Jonah begins to speak with God and decides he will do the will of God, the work that God placed in their hands ... be a prophet! Jonas reminded of his oath: "I promise to speak what God told me to speak, to go where God wants me to go" ...

And the fish vomits Jonah ...

Dear, we do not need the "disgrace" in our lives to understand what God wants in our life! We do not need it! Jonas understands and surrenders in the fish's belly!

Today, twenty-first century, "that hole we need to get to understand that it was not to be in the middle of the hole"! Or, that "we want to get the hole to God to get us out"? Who wants to suffer pain we did not need to understand that pain?!

It was only obeyed!

What a loss we want to finally take the plunge and say, "Actually, God, the Lord was right"!

Jonas had to stop inside the belly of the fish to understand that disobeyed and repent and come back! Thing holdouts, stubborn, something people who prefer to pay the price of disobedience to humble himself and receive the "grace" of obedience. So was Jonah!

And it need not be with you and not me !!!...

But we have two ways to learn in life:

Whereas a second error in the lives of others and getting away from them;

2nd Suffering correctly our mistake never to repeat it!

You learned a lesson from their mistakes? Never did such things?

Thought: "What do I have to suffer to understand that the only thing I have to do is to obey God"!

Say to you ... you do not have to suffer anything!

We always have to go through the suffering we come to the Lord's feet? Sooner or later we reap what we sow ...
